‘ Chand fir nikla magar tum na aaye Jala fir mera dil karun kya mein haye Ye raat kehti hai wo din gaye tere Ye janta hai dil ke tum nahin mere Khadi hun mein phir bhi nigahen bichaye Mein kya karun haye ki tum yaad aaye Sulagte seene se dhuan sa uthta hai Lo ab chale aao ke dum ghut ta hai Jala gaye tann ko baharon ke saye Mein kya karun haye ki tum yaad aaye..’ • All…
Mora gora ang lai le… Mohe Shyam rang dai de… Chhup jaungi raat hi mein… Mohe pee ka sang dai de.. Shyam is another name for dark skinned Krishna. To unite with him, I will lose myself and take on his qualities. I seek union with the divine. To be coloured in Shyam’s colours, I want to immerse in His qualities. Hiding in the night means losing my ego to merge with Oneness. I will gladly give up my ego…
Mohabbat barsa dena tu..saawan aaya hai.. Tere aur mere milne ka..mausam aaya hai.. Monsoon is here..the season to shower your love is here… The clouds hide my beautiful snow peaks. Mt Trishul and Maa Nanda Devi are just there, right behind these clouds. Still, the clouds and mountains complement each other so very splendidly ! Jis tann ko chua tune, us tann ko chupaun.. Jis mann ko laage naina, woh kisko dikhaun.. O mori Chandrama, teri Chandni ang jalaye.. Teri unchi atari, meine pankh liye katwaye… I hide the body you touch. What about my soul that you touch with your eyes. The high, bright moon burns me and I have cut my wings. The moon looks lovelier and forlorn in the Himalaya. The full moon rises from behind the hills at Gagar, Ramgarh, Kumaon…

Lillaah… Ek tasleem ko har baar meri aankh jhuki hai… Aap ko dekh ke badi der se meri saans ruki hai… Looking at you I forget to breathe and my eyes bow down in salutation… What a glorious breathtaking view ! Standing tall, the hallmark range of the Indian Himalaya ! The mighty names of the Kumaon and Garhwal Himalaya. Maa Nanda Devi is the highest peak entirely within India. Kanchenjunga is higher and is partly in India and Nepal….
Udte patango mein…. Holi waale rangon mein… Jhumenge phir se dono yaar… Wapas to aaja yaar… Seene se lagaja yaar… Among the flying kites and between these beautiful colours, we will dance again my love…please come back and hug me… In love with oil painting. When beautiful Himalayan colours meet the freedom of a digital brush, its amazing to re-imagine and deepen the saturated hues on canvas. The scene is real, the colours are part real, part fantasy. Aaoge jab tum saajna… Angna phool khilenge… Barsega saavan, jhoom jhoom ke… Do dil aise milenge… Flowers will bloom in our garden when you come… And the rain will dance when our hearts meet… Gagar, Ramgarh, District Nainital, Kumaon Himalaya, Uttarakhand, September 2015. On a clear day, one can see Trishul, Maa Nanda Devi and many more mighty peaks, through this window. Have never actually sat on these chairs. Though it would be the perfect setting for a great cup of tea/coffee with a nice book and watch the clouds stroll by. Always want to be outdoors, in the beautiful fragrant realm of the Himalaya. Gagar, Ramgarh, Kumaon Himalaya, Uttarakhand. September 2015.
