Our experience at the resort began with a very adventurous 20 odd minute walk which took us through a stream over rocks and the wilderness leading us to the resort. A very exciting yet an easily manageable walk indeed!
On our arrival at the resort we were greeted by the staff and a very interesting welcome drink called “chaas” a tantalising version of buttermilk with a mint flavour.
We were then taken on a mini tour of the resort which is splendidly landscaped yet has a rustic look to it. The property is endowed with captivating natural beauty. It is surrounded by hillocks on three sides and a small stream flowing through the it with natural waterfalls very imaginatively conceived.
Then came the very pleasant surprise when we were shown the interiors of the cottages. Each room within has a character of its own with aesthetically designed furniture and a lovely blend of colours making each room look unique. A striking feature is how modern technology is integrated into truly rustic look and feel of the rooms. A bukhari on the one side with electric heaters and electric bed warmers on the other made the extremely low temperatures of December pale into insignificance. Very detailed attention had been given to the fittings, lighting and the decor to give the rooms and the adjoining rest rooms an ethnic look but at the same time making it an extremely comfortable and luxurious experience!
The natural treks in an around the resort offer an adventurous occasion to the guests to discover the adjoining terrain and especially a walk up to Pari Taal which pretty interesting. The shacks made around the natural water body in the property is an ideal location to have a beer or sip some wine and catch up on some reading in serene surroundings listening to the sounds of nature.
The F&B is an absolutely remarkable experience with a diversified choice of delicious cuisine very well presented by trained chefs is a very old fashioned dining room. For a momentary period you are transported into history with its decor and the ambience but the first bite of your dish brings you back to the present with the very modern aromas and flavours of contemporary cuisine!
The staff is extremely hospitable, courteous and well trained and they make it a very delightful and pleasing stay!
Overall a truly grand experience and I would love to go back time and again and strongly recommend others to go visit and discover the mystique of this resort of themselves!
