This hotel/ resort is a fantastic getaway if you need a break from everyday routine life. It is a very small resort and is different from the other resorts in many ways. They do not have a television in the room. In case you want to see television you need to come out in the common area where there is TV and then you can watch it. They have fixed buffet for breakfast lunch and dinner. Lunch is 600 rs. and Dinner is 750 rs. per pax. Breakfast was complimentary. Although the spread is not elaborate but sufficient. There is a common area where every guest can come and sit and play games. They also have a small library. They also have a collection of DVDs in case one wants to watch movies.
Talking about the rooms, we stayed in ‘Celebration’ (name of the room). The rooms are well heated and the bed is heated as well. The washrooms are spacious. They provide only with Soap, lotion, towel and detergent to wash your clothes. You need to get your own tooth brush and tooth paste and any other thing you need. They do not have a laundry service. The room was well made giving a pretty comfortable feel. The room looked bigger as they had a lot of bay windows. There was a huge verandah outside the room. If requested they could get you picked or dropped to Kathgodam Station or any other place. It was probably more expensive than the normal taxis that wait outside the station and probably the same quality but the reliability makes the difference. So i didn’t mind paying that extra money. We reached at 6:15 AM at the hotel and the staff was ready to receive us and without any delay our luggage was taken to our room. Prithvi ji who manages this hotel was amazing. He asked us our plan every day and also suggested what we could do. He showed us around some parts of the property. Its a property made around 2007 and is functional as a resort since 2011. All the other staff was also great. This place is just 3 kms from ramgarh and the resort people arranged private cabs for us. they would take around 100 rs. 1 way to go to ramgarh. There is an extremely small market in ramgarh with around 4-5 shops only but Baba ka Dhaba deserves a mention. Have lunch there if you can. Its not out of the world but its definitely good. The alu jeera and chola was good. He also made Tea and maggi for us. We also went to ‘saat taal’ which is around 20 kms from the resort. so it takes roughly n hr to reach there. You shud definitely visit Garur Lake on the way to ‘saat taal’. It has pretty clear water. On reaching Saat Taal we did Kayaking, and a few other water activities. We had lunch at Madhuban which is a dhaba there. We had the famous curry, rajma, rice and cold kheer. It was good. Thats about it. Thank you.
