I visited this property last month and was there for four days with my husband. All I can say is that you have to visit this place to experience it. Being a nature lover that I am, I just fell in love with this property. The location of this property is what earns the most brownie points. As the name says it, it is by the riverside and you can hear the gushing of the river all the time. For me, it was like music to my ears. You can experience the stillness in nature and also the stillness within you. You just feel like you are in some isolated island with all the facilities :). It is just surreal. I could have spent hours and hours by the river hearing it flow. If you love watching birds and aquatic life, you will feel blessed. So many varies of birds. I also had a little fun in the river. If you can find some still spot in the river where there are fishes, just stand in there and be still and you will get yourself a free and natural fish reflexology treatment. That was so much fun.

The property is very tastefully decorated with little artifacts. The village rooms and cottages both are beautifully designed and have this rustic touch. The food was beyond excellent and the staff was the best – vibrant, courteous, welcoming, responsible and lovely. Vicky was the one who showed us around and took us to the hikes and parital. He was such a wonderful company and I loved hearing all the stories he had to share. Sometimes you learn so much from people you barely know. Vicky was one such guy. Bhanu, the manager was very courteous and I am so obliged to Kailash for he made sure that I get the best food without onion and garlic. Everyone was best at what they were doing. And as I had already mentioned, the food of this place is unbeatable. I have usually found that places with good location do not have good food and places with good food do not have the best location. But here, you get the best of both.

Our hikes also brought us face to face with another reality of such beautiful locations. The locals who live there and their agonies. Life in these mountains is definitely not easy for the locals who mainly rely on farming. But still amidst all these hardships, there were some who exhibit their life for life and make me ponder what really gives meaning to my life.
