Soulitude by the Riverside is a lovely resort along the banks of Kalsa river in Chanfi village near Nainital in the Himalayan state of Uttarakhand, India. With a total of seven rooms spread across a restored 70 years old village home and two cottages, the resort is literally an oasis away from it all. It’s Riverside Shacks — neat little shacks made of bamboo sticks are scattered on several vantage points along the river – allow one to watch the river flow, read a book, gaze at the birds or simply relax here. Tariffs vary from Indian Rs. 6,500 – 12,000 including breakfast and taxes. This is not your typical hotel, but the owner’s (Mr. Manish Chandra) labour of love. Check in and enjoy a home like few others.
